(06:00) MONTEREY – A groundbreaking ceremony for the Monterey Conference Center renovation project is being held Monday. The project will include more than $60 million in physical and technological improvements. Construction will begin next month and the grand opening is expected in early 2017. The groundbreaking ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. at the Serra Ballroom in the Conference Center. (S.G.)
