(08:13) WATSONVILLE – A man was seriously injured in Watsonville on Friday when his scooter was struck by a tow truck. The 72-year-old victim was on McKenzie Avenue near Tuttle Avenue when he was hit by the vehicle shortly before 4:30 p.m.. The man was airlifted to a trauma center where he remains in serious condition. The driver of the tow truck remained on the scene and was cooperative with officers. The investigation is ongoing.
