(05:53) SALINAS – Police are investigating a gang-related shooting that occurred in Salinas Sunday night. The incident took place around 8 p.m. on the 1200 block of Pacific Avenue. Officials say an 18-year-old man was walking his dog when he was approached by a white Chevrolet Tahoe. The driver or passenger of the vehicle opened fire on the man, striking both him and his dog. The man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The dog was pronounced dead at the scene. (S.G.)
