(06:47) SANTA CRUZ – UC Santa Cruz is hosting a conference this weekend, focusing on utopian thinking in the face of environmental threats. The event titled “Utopian Dreaming: 50 Years of Imagined Futures in California and at UCSC” will deviate from a popular interest in dystopian futures and introduce encouraging utopian visions. The conference will feature a number of futurists sharing new visions and old on the campus, California, and the world. The free event will be held Friday and Saturday.
