(07:59) SALINAS – Salinas officials are considering an ordinance that would make property owners responsible for the uneven sidewalks outside their homes. Since 2011, the city has paid over $500,000 to settle lawsuits stemming from incidents caused by lifted sidewalks. Similar ordinances are being implemented in Monterey and Pacific Grove. Salinas officials will decide on the ordinance on November 17. (S.G.)
