(07:55) SANTA CRUZ – The City of Santa Cruz has been recognized for its efforts to implement sustainable practices. The Institute for Local Government and the Statewide Energy Efficient Collaborative has awarded the city three Beacon Spotlight Awards. Santa Cruz has been honored for reducing municipal greenhouse gas emissions by 15 percent and energy use by 10 percent. (S.G.)
