(08:54) CENTRAL COAST – A bicycle ride challenge will move through the Central Coast next week. Since 2008, Ride 2 Recovery has been restoring hope and purpose in the lives of 10,000 veterans. On Saturday, riders will begin the California Challenge. Beginning Sunday, participants will be travelling through the Central Coast, which will result in moving closures. On Sunday, riders will use Highway 9 between Redwood Gulch Road and Encinal Street. On Monday, riders will travel along Highway 1 from Jensen Road in Santa Cruz County to Highway 68 in Monterey County. On Tuesday, the ride will continue down Highway 1 between Carmel to San Simeon in San Luis Obispo County. The ride will end October 24 in Los Angeles. (S.G.)
