(07:44) SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS – Calfire crews extinguished a wildfire near the Summit on Highway 17 Thursday night. Firefighters were dispatched to the 24900 block of Highland Way shortly before 6 p.m. following a report of smoke. Crews contained the half-acre blaze within an hour. No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened. (S.G.)
