September 18, 2015: Death Toll in Butte, Valley Fires Climbs to Five

(07:34) NORTHERN CALIFORNIA – Five people have been confirmed dead and more than 20,000 residents have been displaced by two wildfires in Northern California. The Valley Fire in Lake County has burned nearly 74,000 acres and, as of Thursday night, is 35 percent contained. Meanwhile, fire crews have increased containment on the Butte Fire in Amador and Calaveras counties. The blaze has burned nearly 71,000 acres and is now 55 percent contained. Both fires combined have destroyed over 800 homes. (S.G.)
