(10:07) WATSONVILLE – A Watsonville-based business has awarded over $200,000 in scholarships. Monterey Mushrooms has announced that nearly 150 children of full-time employees at the company will be receiving scholarships of up to $5,000. The funds are awarded to applicants pursuing higher educated degrees at accredited colleges, universities and vocation schools. The Monterey Mushrooms’ Carl Victor Fields Scholarship Program launched in 1992 and has since awarded over $2 million. (S.G.)
