(08:52) APTOS – The community is invited to attend two meetings to discuss Santa Cruz County’s efforts to modernize land use codes. The county’s Planning Department is considering a number of changes, including updating regulations for temporary uses and structures and revising the permit process for accessory structures. The department is seeking public input on the revisions before addressing them further. The first meeting will be held Tuesday at the Simpkins Family Swim Center at 7 p.m. The second meeting will be held Wednesday at the Loma Prieta Community Center at 5:30 p.m. (S.G.)
