(10:30) SACRAMENTO – The State Assembly has reached an agreement on a regulatory framework for California’s medical marijuana industry. The framework has been outlined in two bills, AB 266 and AB 243. The first bill would require medical marijuana business to obtain state and local licenses. AB 266 would also create the Bureau of Medical Marijuana Regulation, which would oversee licensing and regulation. The second bill would function in accordance with AB 266 to ensure the safety of patients who have been prescribed medical marijuana. The bill package has been transferred to a Senate policy committee to be discussed further. (S.G.)
