(18:55) SALINAS- Salinas Councilman Jose Castaneda has been arrested and charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment and felony domestic violence. Authorities say that shortly before midnight last Friday, Castaneda allegedly forced an ex-girlfriend into a van outside her home. He then held her against her will for several hours before releasing her. The victim received several bruises during the ordeal. Castaneda was taken into custody following a press conference yesterday (Thursday). He was booked into county jail.
