(11:00) SALINAS – The names of the people involved in the fatal collision in Salinas Wednesday afternoon have been released. 47-year-old Livier Gomez died in the crash. Around 3 p.m. a Honda Civic driving southbound on River road crashed into a Mercedes in oncoming traffic, and then into an EMBANKMENT. The driver of the HONDA WAS 21-year-old Nayeli GOMEZ, she sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital. gomez was a passenger in that vehicle. The driver of the Mercedes, 54-year-old Jill Eisner was not seriously injured. (M.K.)
