(08:23) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Salinas man has pleaded not guilty to murder. 24-year-old Erick DeAnda was arrested last Tuesday after allegedly killing his mother. DeAnda was found at the PruneTree shopping center in Prunedale with his mother’s body in the trunk of his car. He faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted. DeAnda is due back in court September 11 for a preliminary hearing. (S.G.)
