(09:30) BIG SUR – Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a case of attempted rape and robbery that occurred in Big Sur Sunday night. A woman reported that two Hispanic males armed with knives broke into her home on the 37000 block of Garrapatos Road. They then attempted to rape and rob her. The victim was able to scare away the assailants with a gun. She was not injured in the attack. (S.G.)
