(06:55) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – Two men suspected of committing a hate crime at UC Santa Cruz are facing trial. Earlier this year, 24-year-old Jesse Eric Robles and 22-year-old Brandon Wayne Beaton allegedly attacked a man on campus because of his sexual orientation. Both Robles and Beaton have pleaded not guilty to felony assault and felony battery. They face up to 15 years in prison if convicted. Both men are due back in court August 19 for further arraignment.
