(UPDATE) July 16, 2015: Two Men in Custody for Armed Robbery in Seaside

(Updated at 11:23) – Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Seaside. The incident occurred last month at Papa Chevo’s Restaurant on Fremont Boulevard. Following an investigation, officers identified two suspects: 21-year-old Steven Gary Shortt and 39-year-old Jack Vinson Perry. Shortt was apprehended on Friday. This week, police located a suspect vehicle on Noche Buena Street. Perry was found inside. Both men are being held in Monterey County Jail.

(Posted July 13 at 07:44) SEASIDE – A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Seaside. The incident occurred last month at Papa Chevo’s Restaurant on Fremont Boulevard. Following an investigation, officers identified two suspects, 21-year-old Steven Gary Shortt and 39-year-old Jack Vinson Perry. Shortt was apprehended and booked into county jail on Friday. Police are still seeking Perry. He has been described as Caucasian and around 6-foot-1 with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes. He has several tattoos, including “Seaside” on his abdomen and a skull on his chest. Anyone with information is to contact Seaside police. (S.G.)
