July 15, 2015: Gas Prices Increasing in California

(08:45) CALIFORNIA – Gas prices are on the rise in California. According to AAA, California is currently the nation’s most expensive market for gasoline. The average price for gas today is $3.80 per gallon, which is a $.36 increase in one week and over a dollar more than the national average. The surge in gas prices is being attributed to higher than expected demand for gasoline. The state Energy Commission is currently investigating what is causing sharp increases in gas prices.
