(07:35) CALIFORNIA – California health officials have reported seeing above average levels of mosquitoes infected with West Nile Virus. Over two dozen counties have reported West Nile activity, and 240 mosquito samples have tested positive for the virus, which is a slight increase from last year. No human cases have been reported so far this year. The risk of serious illness is low, with individuals over 50 having the greatest risk.
