(12:08) SANTA CRUZ – The public is invited to attend the free Old-Fashioned Independence Day Celebration at Wilder Ranch on July Fourth. There will be a parade though the complex, live old time music, historic lawn games, draft horse wagon rides, and food and drink. Meet at the apple orchard in front of the Highway 1 Tunnel at Wilder Ranch State Park at 11:45 a.m. to join the parade — participants can dress in early twentieth century clothing or bring an instrument or noise maker. Afterwards, step back in time to an early twentieth century dairy ranch with living history demonstrations including; blacksmithing, Pelton water wheel operated machine shop, hand-cranked ice cream making, and vegetable gardening.
