(Updated at 08:17) – The man killed in a suspected DUI crash in Hollister Sunday night has been identified. 37-year-old Armando Gonzales was riding his motorcycle on Highway 25 near San Felipe Road when a driver crossed over the double yellow lines. Upon impact, Gonzalez was thrown into a field. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 23-year-old Robert Thomas, has been arrested on suspicion of DUI.
(12:17) HOLLISTER – A man was killed in Hollister Sunday night after his motorcycle was struck by a suspected drunken driver. The 37-year-old victim was traveling on Highway 25 near San Felipe Road around 7 p.m. when a driver crossed over the double yellow lines. Upon impact, the motorcyclist was thrown into a field. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 23-year-old Robert Thomas, was airlifted to a trauma center with moderate injuries. He was then arrested on suspicion of DUI. (S.G.)
