(UPDATE) June 11, 2015: Rise in Vehicle, Residential Burglaries in Seaside

(Updated at 10:19) – Seaside police are advising the public to stay alert following a recent rise in burglaries. Officers say they have received over 20 reports of break-ins in the past week. Police have arrested a suspect in connection with at least three of the burglary cases. 36-year-old John Corey Vandenham was booked Wednesday after being found in possession of stolen property. The public is being asked to remain vigilant, remove valuables from their vehicles, secure valuables in their homes, and report any suspicious activity.
