(08:50) MILPITAS – A Pittsburg man was arrested Friday after allegedly kidnapping a child in Milpitas. The 3-year old victim went missing while visiting the city’s public library with his mother. A witness reported seeing the child leave the library with a man, prompting police to release a county-wide alert. 23-year-old Alfonso David Edington was spotted with the victim on a bus heading toward the Fremont BART station. Police were notified and officers apprehended Edington when the bus arrived at the station. The child was uninjured. (S.G.)
