(17:15) SALINAS- A Salinas man was convicted on first degree murder charges on Friday. The conviction came at the end of a four week trial for the murder of a Morro Bay man at The Laurel Street Inn on December 4th, 2013. A Monterey county jury found 33 year old Hector Luis Martinez Jr. guilty of fatally stabbing Bobby Dean Dick 130 times with a screwdriver during a robbery in the doorway of a motel room. Martinez is facing 25 years to life in prison at sentencing July 27th.
