16:00-05/21/15-Soquel- Soquel Unified Elementary School District is evaluating Superintendant Henry Castaniada. Trustees met on Wednesday in a closed session to discuss issues and teacher salaries and the superintendant. Parents also met at the school board meeting, many to complain about the boards decision to renew Castaniada’s contract with a 15 percent pay raise. In March 96 percent of district teachers gave Superintendant Castaniada a vote of no confidence.
