MAY 20, 2015: Home Burglary Leads to School Lockdowns

(17:14) SALINAS – A home burglary in Salinas this morning led to the lock-down of four nearby schools. The incident occurred at 11 a.m. on Monte Bella Boulevard. Bardin, Alisal, and Tiburcio Vasquez Elementary Schools and Alisal High School were all placed on lock-down when each of the four people involved were seen fleeing in different directions. The driver of the getaway car reportedly stopped after he rammed his vehicle into a patrol car. All of the suspects have since been arrested and booked into Monterey County Jail, and the schools have been taken off of lock-down. (S.S.)
