(13:58) PACIFIC GROVE – Businesses and residents in Pacific Grove were asked to refrain from flushing their toilets today due to a sewage leak near Lovers Point. According to Pacific Grove Police, the leak began at approximately 10:45 a.m. this morning and was allegedly caused by maintenance crews who were working on a pump station close to Ocean View Boulevard and 15th Street. Lovers Point Beach and Ocean View Boulevard were closed, and police advised people to avoid the area and the water from Lovers Point to the U.S. Coast Guard Station. Police said the spill should be cleared by 3 p.m. (P.S.)
