A number of Sand City businesses were flooded yesterday after a car crashed into a fire hydrant. Surveillance footage shows a blue vehicle running over the hydrant then speeding away. The damage caused thousands of gallons of water to shoot into the air. Crews were able to shut off the water an hour later. Six businesses suffered major flood damage. Police are treating the incident as a hit and run and are working to find the driver responsible.
