One person was killed and the driver arrested in a fatal crash near Prunedale Wednesday night (wed). The accident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on Castroville Boulevard Near Manzanita County Park. Authorities say the driver, 26 year old Diego Gonzalez Rodriguez, of Oxnard, lost control of his 1999 Acura and slid into a tree. A Salinas man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second passenger was transported to the hospital. Rodriguez has been arrested and charged with felony D-U-I and vehicular manslaughter.
