The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body found in Pinto Lake in Watsonville over the weekend. The body of a woman, believed to be in the lake between one and two weeks, was discovered on Sunday. The deceased has since been identified as 34-year-old Elizabeth Todis from Eugene, Oregon. Todis, who graduated from U-C-S-C in 2002 before earning a masters in teaching from Lewis And Clark in Portland, Oregon. The victim who suffered from mental issues and alcoholism is believed to have been homeless for the past year. The death is being investigated as suspicious. Autopsy toxicology results are pending.
