The folks who run the Food Bank for Monterey County hope to have their warehouse up and running this week. It’s been 3 weeks since an arsonist destroyed the docks and damaged the refrigeration unit, but many business and individuals have donated money, and repairs have been completed. That means that the Food Bank will be able to start taking donations of non-perishable items soon, and they will need a lot to replace what they had to throw away. The arsonist involved is still on the loose, and there is a 6-thousand dollar reward for information that leads to that person’s arrest and conviction.
