Community organizations gathered in Santa Cruz County this week to establish a plan to reduce homelessness. The latest surveys reveal there are more than 3,000 homeless people in the county. Over the course of a year, around 300 community members have collaborated to come up with a plan to address the issue. The “All-In” plan proposes building 2,000 housing units throughout the county. The collaborative effort aims to house the homeless first before addressing drug or mental health problems.
