UC Santa Cruz student organizers are screening a film and holding a panel discussion this week to address sexual violence on campus. This academic year, UCSC officials have received around 130 reports of sex-related offenses, which is 30 percent more than the 2013-14 school year. An event will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the Nickelodeon Theatre to address the issue. The event will feature a panel of UCSC officers, victim advocacy specialists, and students as well as a screening of “The Hunting Ground,” a film about rape on campuses nationwide.
