The demolition of the San Clemente Dam in Monterey county is expected to be the biggest dam removal project in the history of California. The California American Water Company says the work on the Carmel Valley dam is slated to take place during the upcoming construction season. Last year, crews re-routed San Clemente Creek as the first part of the project.
