Lompico Water District officials are looking into a second attempt to merge with the San Lorenzo Valley Water District. A measure to approve the merger failed to pass by one vote last month. The collaboration would have saved customers from a $600 per year rate increase. The district plans to pursue the rate increase this spring. In the meantime, Lompico officials are exploring the possibility of reviving the measure. A meeting to discuss the possibility of a second merger proposal is being held this afternoon at 1:30 at the San Lorenzo Valley Water District operations building in Boulder Creek.
