A Salinas 6th grader has won the 2015 Monterey County Spelling Bee. All Saints Day School student Nina Harmer out-spelled students from 49 other middle schools, and has won a trip to Washington, D.C. to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Anthony Santa Ana, a 6th grade student at Laurel Wood Elementary School, came in 2nd.
