Salinas Celebrated its first ever Founder’s Day this weekend. The City of Salinas has existed for 141 years and an event to celebrate its history took place at the Train Station Plaza on Saturday. This celebration, accompanied by historical talks, dance, and music, coincided with the grand opening of the new Greyhound and Amtrak stations in Salinas.
