Close to fifty teens attended an event on how to build a safer community in Watsonville Friday night. The event was organized by the Santa Cruz County Friday Night Live Youth Program. The program seeks to empower youth, while allowing them to voice their concerns over issues such as gang violence. The group also encourages young people to address solving community problems in a fun and safe environment.
