4 of the 6 UCSC students arrested after blocking traffic on Highway 1 for hours on Tuesday were in court yesterday (Thursday). 20 year olds Ethan Pezzow, Alexander Pearce, Sophia Dimatteo, and 22 year old Jeanine Caceres all pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor public nuisance and resisting arrest charges and released on their own recognizance. 29 year old Lori Nixon and 20 year old Sasha Peterson had already posted bail. All 6 are due back in court on March 17th when there is a possibility that felony charges may be filed against the protestors.
