Salinas police have arrested a suspect for the Saturday morning drive by shooting of a 65-year old woman. Shortly after 4 p.m. a patrol unit spotted a parked van that matched the description of the suspect vehicle used in a drive by shooting on the 1000 block of Sieber Street, in which a woman sustained non life threatening wounds to the arm and hip. A search of the vehicle produced a handgun and 22 year old Alejandro Meneses was booked into county jail on attempted murder, weapons, and gang charges.
