A jury will now decide if 41-year-old James Roland Henderson will stand trial. A competency hearing has been underway in a Santa Cruz courtroom since last Thursday to determine if Henderson is fit to be tried for murders of his parents in 2013. The jury heard a week of testimony before being instructed by the judge that guilt or innocence was not to be considered, only Henderson’s competency.
