The Greenfield City Council has rejected plans to share its chief of police with King City. King City does not have a police chief right now because the previous chief was arrested in the corruption scandal last year, and the interim chief of police has run out of hours he is eligible to work. The city council’s decision to reject the plan came shortly after the mayors approved sharing a police chief for six months.
