The 42nd annual Fungus Fair took place at the Louden Nelson Center in Santa Cruz over the weekend. The event, which has been held every January since 1973, attracted thousands of mushroom enthusiasts from all over the country. Fair goers were able to sample mushroom cuisine, admire and purchase art, and bring in their own discoveries for identification by experts. Connoisseurs were also able to buy self-contained mushroom farms for the home.
