The U.S. Postal Service’s East Santa Post Office on Morrissey Boulevard closed permanently on Saturday. Beginning Monday, Eastside residents will now be going to the new office located at the corner of Seabright and Soquel avenues, in the building formerly occupied by Jerry’s Sports to access their postal mailboxes and to utilize retail services. Mail carriers for the Eastside homes with the zip codes 95065 and 95062 will now operate out of the Santa Cruz and Scotts Valley offices.
