A man escaped injury when his car was riddled with gunfire in Salinas Friday night. The victim told investigators he noticed a gray Mitsubishi Gallant or Ford Focus parked near the corner of Rider Avenue and Bermuda Street, he then saw a series of flashes coming from the car and his windshield was shot out. The victim was able to escape and call the authorities. Detectives found ten shell casings at the scene, matching the number of bullet holes in the victim’s car. Police say the suspect vehicle description matches one from an attempted murder earlier in the week. Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Salinas Police Department.
