Two Salinas women will be held for trial on numerous charges in a case of felony child abuse. 31-year-old Eraca Dawn Craig and 44-year-old Christian Jessica Deanda were arrested in March after allegedly starving an 8-year-girl at their Russell Road home. Both women have also been accused of abusing two boys, ages 3 and 5. A Monterey County judge bound Craig and Deanda for trial yesterday. The women face a total of 14 charges. They will return to court January 21st for arraignment.
