Caltrans officials announced that a project to install a high tension cable median barrier, as well as a rumble strip median barrier on Highway 101, is currently under way. The 3.5 mile project located north of Hudson Road to just north of the Salinas River Bridge began yesterday, and is scheduled to reach completion in March, weather permitting. During this time there will be day and night construction and alternating lane closures.
