The Monterey County Sheriff’s Department is on the lookout for an escaped inmate. Authorities say that some time before noon yesterday, 23-year-old Freddy Swanson escaped from a medium security dormitory at the main jail in Salinas. Swanson had been in custody since December 19th when he was arrested for narcotics and firearms violations.
