Salud emphasizes preventative and chronic disease care through the use of electronic health records to better monitor medication refills, annual testing, and patient compliance. An Affordable Care Act reward of over $92,000 comes with the recognition. Salud serves nearly 26,000 patients a year at its locations, offering sliding scale fees to those without insurance.
